Feixi County Water Conservancy Infrastructure Irrigation Project (Phase Il)

Year of Construction: 2024 Application: Irrigation Pipe Specifications and Length: Direct Bury: DN1800/SN10000/PN8,4030m Pipe Jacking: DN1800/SN40000/PN8/5000KN,3440m Every drive length: 320 meters

The Three-Year (2023–2025) Action Plan for Key Water Conservancy Projects in Feixi County includes the Urban Area Water System Interconnection Project. This project proposes to use the Zhongpai Power Irrigation and Drainage Station to pump water from the Pai River (part of the Yangtze River to Huai River Diversion Project) to the Guangming Dayan Small Reservoir, and then transport it via a booster pump station and pipelines to the Wushipu Control Gate on the Qiannan Main Canal. The total route length is approximately 16 km, including the construction or renovation of 9 km of open channels and the construction of approximately 7 km of booster pipelines. The water supply will cover the main urban area, the industry-city integration zone, and parts of the agricultural irrigation areas in Fengle Town and Yandian Township, covering an area of approximately 300 km². The water sources for replenishment are Ziyun Lake, Xiegaotang Reservoir, Xuanwan Reservoir, Tongwa Reservoir, Tanchong Reservoir, and Guangming Dayan Reservoir. The project will improve the water environment in the central urban area of Shangpai and enable timely ecological water replenishment to the Wulaoyan River, Bianxiao River, Tanchong River, Tongwa River, Guangming Dayan River, and Xiao River.

The pipeline route and construction details are as follows: The pipeline runs 30 meters north from the Guangming Dayan pumping station, then turns westward to the southwest of Pengxu Village, turns northward to the west of Pengxu Village, follows Liling Mountain Road and Duxiu Garden Road, turns westward to the planned Qiannan Main Canal, turns northward again to the north side of the existing Qiannan Main Canal, and then heads westward to the upstream of the Wushipu control gate on the Qiannan Main Canal. The pipeline has a total length of 7.47 km with a diameter of DN1800. Centrifugally cast fiberglass-reinforced plastic pipes are used throughout the project; 4.03 km will be installed via open-trench construction, and 3.44 km via pipe jacking.
