The 300,000-ton-per-year nickel-iron smelting project and the accompanying 2×65MW thermal power generation project of Sulawesi Mining Investment Co., Ltd. (SMI) in Indonesia, all equipment for the project was exported from China to Indonesia. Fiberglass-reinforced plastic (GRP) pipes with sand core, manufactured using centrifugal casting, are used to transport seawater for cooling purposes. The product specifications are DN1400/SN10000/PN6 and DN900/SN10000/PN6, with a total length exceeding 2,700 meters.
