Zhoudeng Express Way Sewage Main Pipe Improvement Project

Year of Construction: 2017 Application Field: Sewer Pipe Specifications: Direct Bury: DN350-DN1000/SN10000/PN1,4188 m Pipe jacking: DN1200-DN1800/SN20000/PN1/2870-6450KN, 2760 m Construction Methods: Direct Bury and Pipe Jacking

The Zhoudeng Highway Sewage Main Pipe Improvement Project was implemented by Pudong, Shanghai, following the decommissioning of the original Zhoupu Wastewater Treatment Plant in accordance with environmental protection requirements. The project aimed to provide a new outlet for the wastewater previously treated by the plant. It involved a comprehensive overhaul of Zhoupu Town’s existing sewer pipelines, significantly enhancing the town’s drainage and wastewater disposal capacity while meeting health and environmental standards, thereby holding significant importance for the well-being of the local community.

This project involved the installation of the main inlet pipeline for the sewage pumping station, the main sewage trunk line, and portions of the sewage collection network along Zhoudeng Highway. The project extends west to the planned Zhoupu Sewage Pumping Station and east to Shenjiang Road, excluding the section between Zhouyuan Road and Kangxin Road. A total of 2,297 meters of DN800–DN1000 pressure pipes made of centrifugally cast fiberglass-reinforced plastic (GRP) pipes, manufactured by our company, were used. 4,233 meters of gravity flow pipes ranging from DN350 to DN1800. Of this total, 4,188 meters were installed via open-cut construction, and 2,760 meters via pipe jacking (including one section of DN1400 curved pipe jacking and one section of DN1800 curved pipe jacking).
